Attending tour the workshops, I saw the production of a tapestry using 17 th century weaving techniques in the Manufacture des Gobelins. It's beautiful, artistic tapestry. Located at 42, Avenue des Gobelins, 13 th arrondissement, founded by Jean Gobelin. It set up originally in the mid 1500 as a fabric dying workshop. In 1662, it was converted into the toyal tapestry manufacturers by King Louis XIV’s minister Colbert. In 18 th century, the Gobelins was famous around the Europe. Now, its tapestry can be found in museums around the world.
