Musée National du Sport was established in 1922 and was located at 93, Avenue de France in 13 th arrondissement. In 1963, reestablished by the secretary of state for youth and sport. Roger Taillibert created the galleries in Parc de Princes Stadium built in 1972. In 2008, the museum moved to the Parc de Princes, 24 rue du Commandant Guibaud, 16 th arrondissement.


We can found more than 100.000 items documenting sport from 16 th century to the present including the history and evolution of physical and sports activities in France from their origins, the history of Olympic Games from 1896. The collections include sport equipment, sculptures, paintings, drawings, posters, books, magazine, philately and advertising.
